Preliminary investigation on characterization of urban roof runoff in Macau;

Roof runoff water quality was affected by rainfall,rainfall intensity,roof material,season and air temperature.

Roof runoff is an important source of the diffuse pollution; therefore roof runoff pollution becomes the significant source of urban diffuse pollution.

Based on the monitoring the urban roof runoff quality in Shanghai cultural and educational area during 2003～2006,the variations of pollutants concentrations were analyzed,and then the characteristics of roof runoff quality and the influential factors were studied by statistical methods.

Through the analysis and measuring of the water quality of roof rain-runoff in Handan city,it is found that the water quality of roof rain-runoff is polluted seriously.
