| 《新教伦理与资本主义精神》 Die Protestantische Ethik und der Geist des Kapitalismus M.韦伯的著作。最初以论文形式发表（1904～1905），1920年收入《宗教社会学论文集》第一卷 。 1930 年经T.帕森斯翻译出版后广泛流传。书中论述了资本主义的起源和本质，以及宗教信仰与日常经济行为的关系问题。运用丰富的新教徒宗教行为与经济行为的经验统计资料，论证了在加尔文教“预定论”威慑下，新教徒把做好世俗职业工作视为自己已被上帝预先选择获救的确证，形成在世俗所做的一切都是为了增加上帝荣耀的“天职观”。教徒们勤勉工作，杜绝享乐以至禁欲，在经济活动中工于算计，因而积累了财富，在竞争中处于有利的地位。这就是资本积累时期中产阶级的人格特征。作为一种广泛风行的社会精神气质，它就是“资本主义精神”。近代资本主义的发展正以这种精神作支撑 ，它是欧洲理性主义长期发展的产物。据此，作者得出了近代资本主义的产生与新教伦理有着一种内在的亲和关系的结论。这一思想不仅奠定了韦伯宗教社会学理论的基本构架，而且成为理解其整个社会学思想体系的一条主线，有着深远的影响。中文译本有黄晓京、彭强节译本和于晓等人的全译本两种版本。 |
