总体概况
乐民镇位于遂溪县西南部80多公 里处，是大革命时期广东四大农民领袖之一——黄学增烈士的故乡。全镇10个村委会，75条自然村。总面积86.7平方公里，总人口40145人， 耕地面积28236亩，林地面积5万多亩，是遂溪县较大乡镇之一。
乐民镇濒临北部湾，海岸线长达14 公里，10米不等深海滩涂面积达5万多亩，海洋资源丰富，盛产对虾、花蟹、乌贼、海蜇等海产品。乐民历史文化源远流长， 境内 有建于明洪武年间的珍珠城、与苏东坡颇具渊源的文明书院、 黄学增纪念亭、天主教堂等人文景观。
