It points out the consideration of the development of physical education elective course through the data analysis on the students of the year of 2001 in physical education elective course in "oriental university city" campus of Haidian University.

运用文献资料、调查访谈、数理统计等方法,针对医学院校的体育必修选项课的课程设置、学生满意度进行分析、讨论,显示学生对体育必修选项课的满意度较高,认为对课程的设置以及场馆设施建设方面需进一步完善。

主要指在高等学校中学习某一专业的学生可以有选择地修习的课程。有些选修课是为介绍先进科学技术和最新科学成果；有些选修课是为扩大学生知识面（如中国语言文学专业的学生选修通史，化学专业的学生选修生物学，会计专业的学生选修法学概论等）；还有些选修课是为满足学生的兴趣爱好，发展他们某一方面的才能(如专业的学生选修文学、音乐、绘画、戏剧等课程)。选修课可分为限制性选修课与非限制性选修课。限制性选修课也称指定选修课，指学生须在某一学科门类的领域或一组课程中选修；如有的专业教学计划规定高年级学生须在某一专门组或选修组中选修若干门课程。国外高等学校往往规定学生须在自然科学和社会科学领域中选修若干学分的课程。非限制性选修课也称任意选修课，则不受上述规定的限制。为了适应个别差异，因材施教，发挥专长，学生修习的选修课在专业教学计划中应占一定比例。但也不应过多，以免影响培养专门人才的基本规格。中等专业学校以及普通中学高中的教学计划中,在具备条件的情况下也可设置少量选修课。
