中国人民解放军驻西藏部队某团第1营机炮连第2班的荣誉称号。1981年6月20日凌晨,该班所在团奉命前往米林县白那拉山域扑灭山火。经连续奋战七八小时，将山火扑灭。部队奉命后撤时，副排长苏联邦发现山崖上余烬复燃，便主动带领12人前去扑救。这时，山上突然刮起大风，瞬间火焰窜出树梢，形成一片火海。他们被大火包围，虽奋力扑火突围，终因火势迅猛，严重缺氧，体力耗尽,除战士林国富被气浪冲下悬崖受重伤外，2班班长张宁，副班长刘浩，战士曾智新、 姜廷武、 姜方银、王华忠和副排长苏联邦等12人壮烈牺牲。 同年8月17日,中国共产党中央军事委员会授予2班"护林灭火英雄班"称号。
