| 羚牛 Budorcas taxicolor；takin 偶蹄目牛科羚牛属的唯一种。因体型似牛而得名。又因角扭曲而称扭角羚。 体型大而粗重，体长1.7～2.2米，体重230～350千克；四肢（尤其是前肢）特别粗壮；肩高1～1.3米，肩部隆起，故比臀部高；尾长10～20厘米，尾梢末端具深棕褐色簇毛；毛色在不同的亚种间变异很大，介于黄白、黄褐、黑褐之间；毛长、浓密而粗糙，背部中央有一深色背纹，四肢膝以下前面为黑色；雌雄均有角，角粗，基部为肋骨状，由头顶长出后即剧烈向外侧翻转，再向上、向后弯转，角的大部具横突起，但尖端平滑。下分3个亚种：指名亚种主要分布在中国西南山地，也见于不丹和缅甸；四川亚种和陕西亚种皆为中国特产。 栖息于海拔2000～4500米的山地。夏季在高海拔处，集结成十余只至上百只的大群，冬季下到较低的草坡，分作2～3只的小群。主要吃草、嫩枝、嫩竹等，喜舔食盐分。晨昏和夜间活动，白天则在密林中休息。习惯于沿着通往森林、草坡、水源或舔盐地点之间所踏出的小径行走。嗅觉灵敏，受惊则发出叫声，迅速冲进密林。7～8月交配，次年3～4月产仔，通常每胎产1仔。本种动物处于濒危状态，在中国已被列为国家保护动物。 |
