Yao Wubi of the Tang Dynasty,this paper tries to put the tomb owner into the context of Yao lineage from the Southern Dynasties to early Tang Dynasty and explain the epitaph’s importance in understanding elite politics,relationships between the center and the periphery and imperial examinations of the early Tang Dynasty.
