Based on an analysis of the serious influence of landslide seen at foreland along both banks of rivers in China in recent years on flood protection,navigation and ecological environment,the author discussed the important meaning,monitoring contents,instruments,data acquisition and analysis of dike safety monitoring.

Starting from assuring the safety monitoring of the construction of deep pit, the paper confirms the monitoring content and alarm correlation limit value and illustrates them by using an actual example.
