中国国际战略问题学会是一个全国性的民间学术团体。该学会于1979年10月成立，由从事国际战略问题研究并有一定研究水平的退役军官、现役军官、退休外交官、学者等组成；它的宗旨是维护国家安全和世界和平；其任务是研究国际安全、世界形势和地区性问题，同时承担对中国政府部门、军方和其它企事业单位的有关咨询。学会设理事会，由正副会长领导学会工作。该会在全国主要城市设立分会，分会受该会总部的监督和指导。学会定期召开会议，讨论重大国际战略问题，还不定期召开专题研讨会，讨论有关论文报告。学会已同近百个国外战略研究机构进行了学术交流，建立了业务联系，并用中英文出版《国际战略研究》刊物。
