This paper stated the function of sky burial which conserves the environment and harmonizes the relationship of human and animal,and the Tibetan unique funeral custom which was formed by the introjection of the Buddhist concept and traditional culture through introducing the origin,forming,function,and the comparison of the function of water burial,inhumation,and cremation.
本文通过对水葬、土葬、火葬和天葬等藏族丧葬习俗及功能的比较,阐述了与佛教思想融合在一起而形成的藏族独有的丧葬文化特性,特别揭示了天葬对环境保护、人与动物协调共生中所起到的积极作用。
