The paper discusses sustainable principles in selecting subject of academic papers from two aspects: "the sense of problem-solving" and "the sense of academic history".

The teachers should have the appropriate teaching consciousness such as subject consciousness,problem consciousness and teaching art consciousness,and how to study and carry on these teaching consciousnesses is the key to the development of the subject teaching.

This can be attributed to two reasons: one is the extra pure scholar s style the pure modern academic awareness brings to him;the other is his relatively rough and rugged paths of life that enable him to acquire a profound understanding in his thoughts and emotions.

The author tries to prove the significance in learning a new academic culture consciousness in College English Teaching, and to discuss the utility of this pattern in our university.
