始建于1980年。地处北京市中心前门往西二站地，交通便利，具有良好的教学环境和设施。有：计算机教室、语音教室及完备的实习设备。现有在校生194人。是一所以自动化专业为主体的综合性职业技术学校。
学校拥有一支思想作风过硬，业务水平高，敬业精神强，朝气蓬勃的专职教师队伍，讲师以上职称教师60％以上，近两年又有专业知识强的青年教师加入到教师队伍。
学校以培养德、智、体全面发展，复合型中级以上技术人才为主，并进行各级各类职业技能培训。多年来与仪器仪表工业学校、技工学校联合办学。除技工班外还设有中专班、业余中专班。学生毕业后除取得国家承认学历的毕业证书外，还可取得北京市劳动局职业技能鉴定站颁发的技术等级证书（即双证书）。
学校所设各专业均在规定教学大纲基础上紧跟时代要求不断增加知识面和专业水平，使学生适应市场需要，毕业后尽快投入实际工作。近两年学校各专业均增加计算机基础知识，并组织进行国家计算机等级考试。各专业学生统一组织国家承认的相关各类证书的考试。
