This paper explains the form meaning of jiaguwen YOU(尤) with a conclusion that the character YOU(尤) contains the component of YOU(又) , which is like a hand, and adds a short line on the finger in the upper part of YOU(又).
通过考释“尤”字的甲骨文形体 ,笔者认为“尤”字“从又”(“又”即手状 ) ,并在“又”字上方的手指处加一短横划。
