钟氏染羽 《考工记》：“钟氏染羽，以朱湛丹秫，三月而炽之，淳而渍之。三入为纁，五入为緅，七入为缁。”意思是：钟氏染羽毛，用朱丹和丹秫浸在水里，三月后，用火炊蒸，并以蒸朱秫的汤沃浇所蒸的朱秫，然后再蒸一次，使汤更浓，然后用以染羽。染三次的颜色称为纁，染五次的颜色称为緅，染七次的颜色称为缁。染羽为仅限于染羽毛，亦可用此法染布帛。上述染色方法实为石染浸染法，丹秫是粘性谷物，这里作粘合剂用。
