| 釉陶 glazed pottery 表面施釉的陶器。挂釉可保护器胎，且起装饰作用。古代的西亚、埃及、欧洲有铅釉或锡釉陶器，欧洲有的锡釉陶器上还有彩绘。据中国国内的考古资料，最早的釉陶是西汉时期的铅釉陶器；流传到国外的有春秋战国时期的铅釉陶器。开始时只施绿、褐黄等单色釉，到王莽时期出现同时施黄、绿、酱红、褐色的复色釉。东汉是釉陶最发达的时期，釉陶器的种类有壶、樽、罐、洗、博山炉、瓶等，还有坞壁建筑模型和俑人、猴、鸭、狗、鸡等陶塑；此外，新出现了黑色釉。 中国釉陶的着色剂，绿色是铜，酱黄色、褐色、黑色是铁，熔剂是铅。据化验，东汉绿釉陶器釉的成分，硅酸占29.91％，氧化铝占65.45％，氧化亚铁占0.80％，氧化铜占2.60％，钙、钾、钠等碱金属的氧化物占0.94％。烧成温度在700～800℃之间。
东汉以后因战乱，釉陶生产一度衰落，十六国时期开始复苏，北朝时期产量增加，转为在瓷器作坊中生产。至隋唐釉陶高度发展，创烧出蜚声世界的唐三彩。 |
