激流回旋:运动员必须在规定的航道内穿越或绕过规定的障碍到达终点，以扣分少者为胜。航道长800米，有人工障碍和天然障碍。人工障碍是宽为90～120厘米的门框，一般设25～30个，比赛时必须穿越每个门框，碰撞或漏穿均要扣分。男、女单人和双人障碍回转均于1992年被列为奥运会比赛项目。
比赛规则：比赛中各艇不得两次抢航；不得越出自己的航道；转弯时，所有艇员均必须绕过规定的所有标志；统计成绩时，以艇首到达终点为准。
