朝鲜现存的最古史书。1145年高丽王朝学者金富轼(1075～1151)用古汉语撰成。纪传体,由本纪、年表、杂志、列传组成。记述新罗、高句丽、百济三国史事。共50卷;包括罗纪12卷、丽纪10卷、济纪6卷;年表3卷；祭祀、音乐、车服、屋舍、地理、职官等杂志 9卷；列传10卷。该书直接依据今已失传的《旧三国史》，并取材于朝鲜的其他文献和金石资料，以及中国的某些史书和风俗地理书籍。从其"论曰"部分，还可看出使用《尚书》、《春秋》、《孟子》等中国经书的痕迹。此书是研究朝鲜三国时期和后期新罗历史的珍贵文献。不足之处是对某些史事有时叙述重复，对事件的记述有时也有差错。该书撰成不久即刊刻问世，俗称古印本，流传国内外。其后有李朝太祖三年(1394)庆州府首次刊本，俗称洪武本。但均已失传。再后有李朝中宗七年(1512)庆州府二次刊本，俗称正德本，为存世无多的善本。
