As cotton stalk is a kind of hard stalk,the kinetic characteristics and strain of straight knife were analyzed in order to provide the design reference of chopping knife during the process of cutting cotton stalk aiming to upgrade chopping quality of cotton stalks and reduce the cutting energy consumption.
