The theme and the artistic form of Qi type literary works had changed very mueh from Mei Cheng′s Qi Fa to the Southern Dynasty writers′ works: one hand, the change of theme was from urging rulers to give up extravagant and wasteful life to wrging people to win honour and to gloss over flourishing age; the other hand, the change of artistic form was from Gufu to Pianfu.
