台头镇位于静海县西南，与河北省霸县，文安县接壤。据京沪高速天津段十几华里。 海河的主要支流大清河流经此镇，地理条件十分优越。主要生产棉花，西瓜等经济作物。尤其西瓜驰名津冀两地。有津冀两地最大的西瓜交易市场。
工业主要是以自行车，电动自行车，摩托车的零部件加工为主，另外还有发达的服装加工业。所产的西装都远销俄罗斯。
该镇民风淳朴，村民为人热情，好客。现有二堡乡已划入台头镇。
当年乾隆下江南途经此地，曾修建行宫一座（现已拆除）。有乾隆亲笔题写“郝家祠堂”存世。静海，台头，西瓜。大清河。服装加工 台 头
