Based on the summary of other researchers achievements and analysis by the authors to the sediments since 7 000 a BP from core SX97 on the northeast of Pearl River mouth, it is found that climatic and environmental changes may probably lead to various fluvial processes, such as incision and accumulation in the valley,and the upstream incision and accumulation at the river mouth.
