The study on the old adherents to the collapsed Qing Dynasty is limited,and especially the research on Chen Kuilong is scarce.

This hesis analyses various aspects of the deep mind of the group of the old adherents of the collapsed Qing Dynasty in the early Repulican period, try my best to unfold the diversity and confusion of characters mind, the variety of social culture and the discrepancy of living space that appear during the society transition, nanmely the alternation of dynasties.
