On syntactic features of the double object construction in English;

Traditionally, double object constructions have been characterized as deriving from the prepositional dative constructions.

The conclusions are as follows : First , the constructions of "作·名1/ 之 ·名2 " and "为·名1/ 之 ·名2" can be considered to be both double-object construction and single-object construction , depending on the different meanings of verbs , "作" and "为".
