笔者立足文本,从地下发掘资料与楚辞时代广泛的文化背景着眼,认为“山鬼”形象既非源于地祇鬼怪,也非源于具体传说人物,而是泛化的楚人女性先祖,其原型应为“三苗”原始部落女性首领,在楚秦争战的屈原时代始得跻身于《九歌》鬼神之列。
