The author in this paper makes a comparison and study of the differences between the well-known all-round female athletes both domesti c and foreign, sums up the advanced experiences, discloses the development regul arities of all-round sports and points out some problems for thought in the cou rse of developing the all-round female athletes in China .

From the historical development of world track and field and female all-round sports,this paper analyzes the present situation and feature of the sports,female physical feature,and physical endurance of training,and assumes that on the present condition of newer means of training and nutrition and recovery,it is possible to take decathlon instead of pentathlon.

Using documentation,logic analysis,and other research methods,the female decathlon features of the project undertaken in China and the favorable factors and unfavorable conditions are analyzed.

The heptathlon field competition for women is an all-round athletic contest consisting of seven field events which are respectively the 100-meter hurdle, the high jump, the long jump, the shot-put, the javelin throws, the 200-meter and 800-meter runs.
