French Lessons: Language Acquisition, Cultural Identity and Autobiography;

The objectives of grammar course is briefly stated in the National Curriculum and Instruction Plan for English Majors(2000),but whether or not the practical teachers have a deep-going understanding and get the precise meaning of the stated objectives has great impact on the effective and efficient implementation of the course.

However, in the practice of grammar class teaching for English majors at the tertiary level in our country, the embarrassing phenomenon: "low-effectiveness" of English language teaching widely exists.

How should English Grammar be taught in classes for college students, especially in "grammar only" classes for English majors? The translation methodology is already out of place.

Some preliminary survey on how to design the college English grammar courseware, realize the construction of meaning autonomously and effectively and improve the proficiency of English language learning has been carried out, based on the theory of constructivism and the idea of multi-media technology.
