位于趵突泉东北部。为原尚志书院的一个院落。尚志堂院，南北各有厅房三间，东西曲廊相围，院外小溪沿屋穿廊，敞中有蔽，闹中存静，成为整个院落的特色。北厅为主体建筑，背后修竹、芭蕉相映生趣；泉水穿竹林而过，与两边泉池相通。西廊泉水岸边冬青绿篱可人，廊上翠柳披拂，巧成绿荫柳廊的景致。东廊北端有山石小景，上缀花木，廊临清池，蓄有锦鱼。滨水长廊，下设坐栏供游人小憩、观景。院内东西向小溪的北侧有一奇石，名"待月峰"，为宋代所遗。石瘦细长，多有空窍，形似弯月。夜深月朗，清光透过洞穴一泄地上，形异多变，有诗赞其"精灵俊逸玉玲珑，神工鬼斧浑然成。一年三十六轮月，变幻具在此石中"。满院浓荫叠翠，冬夏常青，花招四季。其中玉兰花犹惹人眼，每到春日，红白花绽放，大如雪莲，清香四溢，因此又称"玉兰院"。
