基督教性道德
性社会学名。是在基督教 的对神的无条件服从的教义基础上所产生的道德思想。它认为上帝是判断道德行为的惟一标准，违背上帝的意旨就是堕落，就是罪恶和不道德。由于人类的原罪，“赎罪”是修养道德的惟一方法。因此，其基本原则是 禁欲主义。教父托 马斯·那奎那认为：结婚会影 响沉思，性交的罪恶在于它造成的非理性。圣·保罗则采取节制性行为的主张。这些为基督教性道德定下了基调。以后基督教的异端派进一步发展了一套指责肉欲快感的神学，以纯粹的性享受为禁忌，禁止性行为等等。公元5世纪的基督教教会还允许教徒结婚，但到了12世纪，教会公布法令明确规定教徒不准结婚。极端的基督教把独身看作是最高境界，是一种高尚的而又可贵的行为。特别在以自我摧残肉体行为的自我鞭怠教派的影响下，欧洲曾出现“惩赎”浪潮，这是人类历史上的禁欲时期，也是杜绝人性的黑暗时期。基督教性道德的最初社会作用在于建立一夫一妻制，以婚姻为神圣，把性生活作为神圣婚姻的内容之一，反对婚姻之外的任何形式的性关系。它的积极影响则是加强了禁欲心理、性羞耻和罪恶感。
