补充资料:《佛本生故事》
      巴利文原文为J╣taka,唐义净译为"社德迦",是属于巴利文三藏《小部》的一部经典。共包括寓言、童话和小故事 546个。叙述方式是诗歌与散文相结合,诗歌较古,散文是后加的。作者不详,估计是佛教和尚的集体创作。成书年代无法确定,大约是在公元前几世纪。印度佛教相信轮回转生。释迦牟尼经过累世修行,有过无数次的转生,才得以成佛。本生故事就是讲他过去无数次转生的故事。这些故事多半是印度人民所创造。故事的主角或者是人,约占全书的四分之三,或者是禽兽,约占全书的四分之一。只要把这些故事稍加改动,即可成为一个本生故事。改动是按照一个固定的模式:1.引导的故事;2.用散文叙述过去的故事;3.保留下来的较古的诗歌;4.语法注释;5.点明佛祖是过去故事中的正面主角,他的敌人是反面的人或禽兽。主人公中商人的数目很多,可见当时社会中商人影响之大。不管是人是兽,总得做过点好事,以此来颂扬佛祖,宣传教义。值得重视的是其中保留下来的大量民间文学创作。它所描绘的当时的社会情况、生产力发展的情况和阶级关系等,也有很高的史料价值,远远超过了婆罗门教的一些法经。
