五四运动以後出版的宣传中国旧文化的学术性刊物。1922年1月在南京创刊。主办人为南京东南大学教师胡先骕﹑梅光迪﹑吴宓等﹐由上海中华书局发行。初为月刊﹐第61期起改为双月刊。1933年出至第79期停刊。该刊以“昌明国粹﹐融化新知”为宗旨。攻击“五四”新文化运动为“模仿西人﹐仅得糟粕”﹔攻击新文化运\动的领袖人物是诡辩家﹑模仿家﹑功名之士﹑政客。以《学衡》为中心﹐在思想文化界形成的一个宣传復古主义﹑反对新文化运动的派别﹐当时被称为“学衡派”。
