保护关税的一种。指对某些商品加重课征,使之进口减少到很低水平的一种关税。当一种关税课征以后,使得进口商品的售价大大高于国内同类商品,从而使其失去竞争能力时,通常称该种保护关税为禁止性关税。征收禁止性关税大都用以保护国内生产者免受毁灭性的国外竞争,或者用以报复其他国家的类似行为。
