安哥拉历史上恩东戈王国女王(1624～1626)、马坦巴王国女王(1630～1663)、民族英雄。16世纪时，翁本杜人在安哥拉北部建立了马坦巴王国。1621年恩辛加曾奉其兄马坦巴国王之命赴罗安达同葡萄牙总督谈判。她勇敢机智，善于辞令，迫使葡总督承认马坦巴和同族邻国恩东戈为独立王国。1624年她继其兄为马坦巴王国国王。她反对葡萄牙殖民主义者贩卖奴隶，曾一度被葡萄牙人逐出马坦巴王国。后来她领导安哥拉人民武装反抗侵略者，取得胜利，把葡萄牙殖民者赶出国土，重新登上王位。1656年她同葡萄牙总督签订一项和平条约，双方维持和平达 7年之久，直到1663年她去世。她在安哥拉人民中享有崇高的威望，被尊称为"黑人母亲"。
