日本语能力测试（jlpt）
日本语能力测试是由日本国际交流基金会及日本国际教育协会于1984年建立的一套较为完整的考试评价体系，并于同年开始在有关国家和地区实施，到2004年，世界上共有39个国家和地区的100个城市举办此项考试，35万人报名参加。该考试在日本国内由15名专家组成考试实施委员会，决定其方针、实施计划、考试内容及证书的授予标准等。该委员会下设规划委员会和考试委员会。规划委员会负责实施计划的制定和考试结果的分析评价；考试委员会负责试题的命制。
在我国由教育部考试中心负责组织和实施。截止2004年，在全国18个省（自治区、直辖市）的21个城市设有32个考点。该考试每年举办一次，于十二月的第一个星期日上午实施。报名没有年龄、职业、学历、地区、民族、国籍、在校与否等限制，中国公民持正式居民身份证，外国人持护照均可上网报名。
该考试以母语不是日语的人士为对象，测试其日语能力。考试分一、二、三、四共四个级别，一级约相当于我国大学本科专业日语3～4年级的水平。每个级别的考试又分文字和词汇、听力、阅读和语法三部分。所有试题均为选择题，满分400分，一级考试答对70%（即280分）以上为合格；二级、三级和四级考试答对60%（即240分）以上为合格。成绩通知书于次年3月初由国际交流基金会通过教育部考试中心及下设考点发放给考生本人，成绩合格者还将同时得到日本国际交流基金会颁发的合格证书。一、二、三、四级的合格证书均长期有效。

日本语能力测试是日本国际交流基金及其财团法人日本国际教育交流协会于1984年开始实施，专为母语为非日语的学习者举办的水平考试。考试分一、二、三、四个级别，一级约相当于我国大学本科专业日语3-4级的水平。每个级别的考试又分文字词汇、听力阅读语法三部分。在我国，该考试由中日双方组成的考试协力委员会负责，国家教委考试中心组织实施。
jlpt每年的考试时间为12月第一个星期日。
