Its synchronical inflection includes liaison,neutral tone and sound combination,while diachronical inflection contains in gentle oral variant pronunciations and the falling tone and non-falling tone in the ancient times.

Since the 1990s Chinese scholars have introduced the theories of grammaticalization and meanwhile conducted systematic and deep studies into the grammaticalization of Chinese language from such aspects as routes to grammaticalization,mechanism of grammaticalization,and diachronic evolution and synchronic analysis of grammaticalization.

This paper discusses the phonological features and studies the synchronic features and the diachronic evolution of the initials, finals and tone in Lan-Yin Mandarin based on the data investigated by the author in 2001 and related publications on Lan-Yin Mandarin.
