| 历史气候 historical climate 自人类文明出现以后到尚无仪器观测资料之前一段时期的气候。历史气候的研究主要是通过查阅各种史料和考古文物，寻找能反映当时气候状况的证据，以重建历史气候序列，分析其规律性。中国历史上的气候史料极为丰富，包括官方史书、宫廷档案、地方志、农书、类书、宗教案卷、日记与文学作品等，其中有关于当时水旱冷暖的浩繁记载，为极珍贵的气候史料。竺可桢从20世纪20年代以后，开创了中国历史气候的研究，并发现中国历史时期的气候变化与世界的总趋势大致相似，经历了多次冷暖干湿的变化。70年代以后中国出版了《中国近500年旱涝分布图集》，为世界第一部历史气候图集。英国C.E.P.布鲁克斯等人研究了世界历史时期的变化，最早给出了这一变化的主要轮廓，是这一学科的奠基者。 |
