1.一万户。 2.万家;万室。万，极言其多。 3.官名。金初设置，元代相沿，为世袭官职。万户为"万夫之长"，总领于中央的枢密院;驻于各路者，则分属于行省。设万户府以统领千户所，诸路万户府各设达鲁花赤一员，万户一员。又有海道运粮万户府，设官与诸路万户府同。参阅《元史．百官志七》。
