The documents of the Tang Dynasty newly found in Ala Gorge of Turpan reveal the beacon tower system in the Tang Dynasty, fill the gap in the research of the military system in the Tang Dynasty and supplement the omissions in historical records.

息烽温泉位于西风县城东北面，是中国西南有名的温泉。温泉四周山峦起伏，黑滩河、清水河汇合其间，热泉分三处涌出，水温53-56摄氏度，每昼夜1032吨。泉水无色、无味、透明，含有氡、钙、镁、钠、钾等10多种元素，其中氡含量较高，具有很高的的医疗价值。特别对治疗慢性关节炎、腰肌劳损、胃炎和铅、汞、锰中毒登疾病效果显著。现温泉建有疗养院，在四周开发油天台业林、清流鸣琴、白石涌泉、奇石观瀑、慈云生佛、洪水古墓、犀角峻云、天生高桥等八大景点，为旅游疗养胜地。
