The sustainable leisure way is the inevitable choice of the leisure activity of sustainable development society.

Under the guidance of the theory of the mode of production of historical materialism,the concept of the "mode of leisure" provides a framework for thinking that can help systematically to uncover the general process and pattern of the development of leisure culture in terms of technological-social formation,purely economic formation,the state of man s development,and economic-social formation.

The dialectic relationship between the mode of leisure and the mode of production means that the mode of leisure as the way of life and the way of cultural development is also necessarily human beings way of enjoying and developing.

This article,taking Wuhan as an example,based on the analysis of the data from market survey,makes an analysis of different kinds of preferences embodied in the way of leisure of urbanites and makes a preliminary study and discussion of the features of the urbanites way of leisure.
