补充资料：古代弹弓
中国[[古代]]有一种“射”的工具，就是弹弓。弹弓的的原理与弓箭的原理相同，都是利用弹射力来进行发射，只是弹弓用的是弹丸，而弓箭用的是箭。
据《吴越春秋》卷9所载《弹歌》：“断竹，续竹，飞土，逐宍（古‘肉’字）。”诗歌以二字短句和简单的节奏，写出了砍伐竹子，制造弹弓，射出弹丸，射中鸟兽的狩猎过程。《弹歌》可能是原始人类从蒙昧时代过渡到野蛮时代的创作。如此说来，古代很早的时候就已出现了弹弓。
另外在古代传说中，泰山诸神爱好狩猎，其猎必用弹弓。《西游记》、《封神传》中的二郎神即是泰山诸神之一。其常携猎犬，挟弹弓，终日驰猎。
根据此类资料的记载来看，古代的弹弓更多的是用来打猎。因为弹弓的威力相对于弓箭来说要差很多，即使用于打猎，也只能是猎取飞禽和兔子之类的小型动物，更不用说大规模用于军事作战了。但由于弹弓比弓箭轻便易携带，使用起来也比较方便，且近距离的杀伤力也不弱，因此在民间流传较广。在许多武侠小说中，弹弓被侠客们作为武器使用。但由于弹弓自身的功能所限，所以在中国体育史上的影响很小，始终未能登大雅之堂，更多的只能是作为娱乐工具而存在。
