贡嘎山海螺沟
贡嘎山位于甘孜藏族自治州康定县城南55公里。“贡嘎”在藏语里是白色一片的冰雪。贡嘎山是大雪山的主峰，最高峰海拔7590米，是四川省最高峰，有“蜀山之冠”之称，常年为冰雪覆盖。1957年我国登山队登上峰顶，1980年国务院宣布可接受外国登山队（因山道陡滑，一般不适合普通游客登临），是国家重点风景名胜保护区。位于山脚下的海螺沟风景区，近年来正被越来越多的人们认识喜爱。
海螺沟的特色之一是身处山脚，远望终年积雪不化的贡嘎雪山，气势恢宏，令人“肃然起敬”。当阳光照在金山银山之上，光芒万丈，瑰丽辉煌。特色之二是世界上冰川大都位于海拔较高处，然在海螺沟海拔较低处就能望见冰川从高峻的峡谷铺泻而下。那举世无双的大冰瀑布，高1000多米，宽1000多米，比贵州黄果树瀑布大上10倍，令人过目即终身难忘。特色之三是在这冰天雪地的冰川世界里，竟有一股水温高达90℃的沸泉！游人可在冰川上洗温泉浴，可称得上是世界奇观。
游览海螺沟，一般作5日游，从沟口磨西经关门石，斑竹林宿1号营地，行程11公里；第二天经望峰亭、合路亭、水海子、沸泉瑶池宿2号营地，行程7公里；第三天经迷路亭、海螺瀑布、蜜月林、麦吊杉王、冰川观景台宿3号营地。返回时再在1号营地宿一晚较妥。
游览海螺沟要注意防寒、防雪崩、防高山缺氧，有的路段还须骑马，应有所准备。游海螺沟还可顺道游玩康定城郊的跑马山，该处因《康定情歌》的流传而闻名。这里每年农历四月初八为“浴沸节”，相传为释迦牟尼生日，届时各少数民族及汉族在这里举行赛马会、转山会等活动，盛况空前。
