用手击球过网的一项球类运动。球用皮制,内装橡皮胆,圆周65~67厘米,重250~280克。球场长18米,宽9米,中间横隔球网(网高:男243米;女224米)。两队分立网的一边,每队六人。运用发球、传球、扣球、拦网等技术和战术互相攻守。球须在空中还击,每方最多可连续击球三次,每人不能连击两次。以击球落入对方场内而得分。每局15分。采用五局三胜制。
