【保险技术说】保险非损失学说的一个分支。非损失学说论者力图摆脱以损失概念来解释保险的性质，而保险技术说正是从技术的角度来阐述的。 在保险实务中，各险种的经营都遵循着一种技术，即大数法则。所谓大数法则指的是几个相互独立的有等同可能发生机会的随机变量在达到足够数量时，这几个变量的平均损失率以极大的可能性接近于期望值。按“保险技术说”的观点，就是把处于可能发生某种机会的同类危险中的多数个人或单位集中起来，测出事故的发生率，即概率，然后根据概率计算保险费率，作为收取保险费的依据。 主张保险技术说的是意大利商法学者费芳德(C.vivate)，他认为保险的性质体现在保险的技术特征上。保险技术说的特点是:用对危险费用的处理来说明问题，重视保险的数理基础，但它没有考虑到保险的经济价值和职能以及保险的目的。
