特殊的文化模式是指各民族或国家具有的独特的文化体系。它是由各种文化特质、文化集丛有机结合而构成的一个有特色的文化体系。各民族或国家之间有着不同的文化,即文化模式的不同。如以农业为主的经济,众多的农村人口,浓厚的家族观念,重人伦，对祖宗及传统权威的崇拜等互相联系形成了中国传统的文化模式；工商业发达的资本主义经济，以城市生活为主导，个人主义，总统制等互相联系而形成美国的文化模式。每一种文化模式内部必然具有自己的一致性，否则各种文化特质、文化集丛便不可能结合在一起形成独具特色的文化模式。多数学者认为，形成这种一致性的原因是统一的社会价值标准，也有学者认为是一个社会中的人共有的潜在意愿。
