| 全国运动会 中国全国规模的综合性运动会。竞赛项目包括田径、游泳、篮球、排球、足球、乒乓球、羽毛球、手球、棒球、体操、举重、射击、射箭、击剑、摔跤、自行车等数十项。除正式比赛项目外，还列入一些表演项目。中华人民共和国建立后，为了发展中国的体育事业、增强人民体质、提高运动水平，国家体育运动委员会于1959年在北京举行了第一届全国运动会，截至1993年，已举行过7届。全国运动会以省、自治区、直辖市、中国人民解放军、体育俱乐部为参加单位。每届运动会的开幕式都有大型团体操表演，国家领导人和各界代表也都出席观看。
