| 陈望道（1890～1977） 中国语文学家，教育家。原名参一、融。1890年12月9日生于浙江义乌，1977年10月29日卒于上海。1915年赴日本留学。1920年起，负责《新青年》的编辑工作。同年，他翻译的《共产党宣言》第一个中文全译本在上海出版。后历任上海大学、复旦大学、安徽大学、广西大学等校教授。中华人民共和国建立后，任复旦大学校长。毕生从事文化教育和语文研究工作，是中国现代修辞学研究的开拓者和奠基人。所著《修辞学发凡》出版于1932年，全书引例丰富，归纳系统，阐释详明，对汉语文中种种修辞方式作了系统而详尽的分析归纳。首先提出了消极修辞和积极修辞两大分野的理论，进而把积极修辞分为辞格、辞趣两种，对汉语文中的修辞格式作了全面的概括。《修辞学发凡》创立了中国第一个科学的修辞学体系，开拓了修辞研究的新境界。20世纪30年代，在上海发动了中国文法革新问题的讨论。他从方法论上批判了机械模仿、生搬硬套的错误，明确地提出了用功能观点来研究汉语语法的见解。陈望道是语文改革的积极主张者和实践者。陈望道从事文化学术活动和教育工作达60年，几乎涉猎了社会科学的各个领域。1960年起任《辞海》主编。 |
