In May,2003,Xinxiang Municipal Archaeology Team excavates Hougaozhuang site at Xinx- iang county,and discovers some relics of early Longshan and Pre-Shang cultures,in which,there are nine ash pits of early Longshan culture and one ash pits of Pre-Shang culture,some pottery pots are unearthed, which provide new materials for studying the ancient culture in the Central Plains.

But the Pre-Shang culture discovered in drainage area of Huiji river is the source of the Early-Shang culture, and its distribution range and locality accord with the records of the capital of Southern Bo established by king Tang.

The main source of the pre-Shang culture is Longshan culture of the middle Shanxi region.

The Zhanghe type culture before the period of Shang dynasty in the north part of Henan province is clear in feature and is similar to that in the south part of Henan province.

Both influenced by South Fujian oceanic commercial culture,the Zhejiangese and Taiwanese firms have established different trans-regional commercial networks with diverse institutional background.
