（术语）新作世尊，旧作众祐。众德助成，或众福助成之义。玄应音义一曰：“众祐。祐，助也，谓众德相助成也。旧经多言众祐者，福祐也。今多言世尊者，为世所尊也。此盖从义立名耳。”同二十一曰：“众祐，于救切，世尊号也。谓有众德自祐。祐，犹助也，梵言婆伽婆，正言薄迦梵Bhagavat也。”僧史略上曰：“汉末魏初传译渐盛，或翻佛为众祐。”
