shiiiel口you zuzhi世界旅游组织(肠rld Tourism orgallization)建立于1975年，其前身是国际官方旅游联盟。它是联合国的附属机构，也是旅游方面的政府间组织，总部设在西班牙的马德里，在世界各地都有其分支机构。有正式会员109个，联系成员4个(指地区，非主权国)，附属成员170个(指直接或间接同旅游有关的组织，如航空公司、旅行社、饭店、旅游研究所等)。中国于1963年10月5日在印度新德里召开的第五届‘全体大会上被该组织接纳为正式会员国。 世界旅游组织是旅游界最重要的国际组织。其宗旨是:促进和发展旅游事业，推动经济发展，增进社会文化繁荣，加强国际理解与和平，以及尊重人类基本的自由和权力。主要机构有:①全体大会。最高权力机构，每两年召开一次会议。②执行委员会。由大会按照5个正式成员选举一个执委的比例选举产生，任期4年。③秘书处。负责日常工作。秘书长由执委会推荐，大会选举产生。④常驻代表。⑤地区委员会。为非常任机构，每年召开一次会议。世界旅游组织的主要职能是:①召开促进旅游业发展的国际会议。②消除或缩小阻碍国际旅游发展的障碍。③对旅游市场进行分析，每年向成员国提供研究报告。④实地考察，提供技术合作。⑤为培养高质量旅游专业人才提供培训的教师、教材及其便利条件。⑥出版一系列完整的期刊和其他旅游方面的统计报告。如《旅游统计年鉴》、《世界旅游的发展》、《世界旅行》等。 (马勇杨芸)
