| 探戈 tango 阿根廷舞蹈 。1880年左右出现在布宜诺斯艾利斯市郊，流行于下层社会。20世纪传入欧洲并进入上层社会，成为重要的舞厅舞。舞蹈风格含蓄、潇洒，富于表现力。与小步舞等早期舞厅舞相比，它有4个明显的特点：①自始至终男女交臂而舞，互相保持交流。②以男子为主导，引导女子，动作丰富细腻。③随着切分节奏，女子的身体常有短暂的后仰突出顿步。④无一定程式，可即兴发挥创作动作花样，具有表演性。探戈的曲调大多深沉、舒缓，带有哀伤惆怅的情调。探戈广泛流行之后，出现了许多优秀的探戈作曲家、表演家和歌唱家。其中C.加尔德尔把它发展成为一种歌曲，被誉为探戈之王。探戈曲调为2／4或4／4拍，中速，突出切分音，早期多用吉他、小提琴、曼多林伴奏，现以钢琴、六角手风琴和小提琴等组合，特别是六角手风琴低哑的音色与探戈伤感的情调相吻合。
