| 和亲 中国古代中原汉族封建王朝的皇室与边疆少数民族上层之间，为保持和好而联成的姻亲关系。约始于西汉，高祖刘邦曾以宗室女嫁匈奴单于，缓和了匈奴的袭扰；元帝竟宁元年（前33年）以宫人王昭君嫁与匈奴呼韩邪单于，对结束汉、匈百年争战而和好起了一定作用。其后各王朝均效袭。如唐文成公主与吐蕃赞普松赞干布和亲，增进了汉与吐蕃的经济文化联系。唐时与突厥、回鹘、浑吐谷等均有联姻。宋代，契丹与党项、回鹘等少数民族上层之间的和亲，对缓和民族矛盾、维护中原王朝统治，促进民族间友好关系的发展及经济文化交流有积极作用。 |
